The journal gives me room to think about the work. These projects give those ideas somewhere to be practiced: in a business, in the care of a story, and in the effort to bring worthwhile writing into the world.

The Bridge Principle connects them. Each asks what deserves care, what can be made useful, and what someone else might carry forward.

Building a business makes ideas about responsibility very concrete. The promise has to be kept. The work has to be done with care. A useful system has to help the person doing the job and the person depending on it.

Dimando & Company is where that part of my work takes shape. Here in the journal, I can reflect on the judgment, habits, and lessons behind it.

American Graves

American Graves connects to a question I keep returning to: what happens to a person’s story when no one is left to tell it?

For me, the work of remembrance begins with attention—to a name, a place, a record, and the limits of what we know. It calls for patience and care in how a life is represented and passed forward.

I’m developing Dimando Publishing as an organization that can help authors create work worth passing forward. My own writing is a starting point; the intention is to make room for other authors and the work they bring.

Dimando Press is its founding imprint—the publishing name associated with its first body of work. It sits within Dimando Publishing.

The organization and its publishing program are in development. Submissions and publishing services are not open.
